In October 1999, the SCHMIDT Group implemented their state-of-the art software TMS (Transport Management System). TMS is a fully integrated software package operating with client servers, which covers all activities including quotations, order processing, traffic and accounts. More than 160 users at locations in the SCHMIDT network are linked online to a common server by VPN (Virtual Private Network). This provides the instant and same level of information to every user anywhere in Europe. In particular, exact transport information, supported by a fully integrated satellite communication tool, can be provided to customers at any time.
